In term 3 of the school year all of the classes from MB1 to MB7 and St Peter Chanel School from Otaki gathered in Grace Hall to meet a man called John Burland. The teachers met him at one of their teachers’ conferences in Wellington and asked him if he could perform for us. He said that he would do a concert for us. The concert went on for about 1 hour and by the time he had finished it was time to go home. I thought about what I enjoyed the most… it was the songs and the reason that I enjoyed them was that the year 7-8 joined in and the actions were easy enough to do.
